Building a church that loves people for who they are and inspires them to become all that they can be.

2020 vision pt 1 (2009)

 vision_win1

A strategic programme calling each of us to invest in another person this year; to love and inspire them, to do life with them and to lead them onto a journey of discovering Jesus. Secondly, Win 1 challenges us to invest in one whole street by creatively loving our neighbours. Thirdly, Win 1 calls us to invest in a BCC ministry by volunteering our time and our energy to serve the house.
vision_trenthamBCC's first congregational plant in the heart of the suburbs. 'Burbs Family Congregation was launched on Sunday 28th June in Trentham with the long term aim of building and establishing a Family Centre, strategically placed to love and hug the people and families in that area. 'Burbs Family meets in Ash Green Primary school at 2:15pm every Sunday.
vision_meirThis year, BCC will open a new community facility on Weston Road, Meir. The Treehouse will provide a base for a Community Pastor who will love and pastor the people of Meir and connect them with the life-transforming power of Jesus and His Church. The Treehouse is strategically placed to serve people and meet their needs on a very practical level, from offering emotional and spiritual counsel, practical advice, appropriate training, guidance and sign-posting people towards the relevant professional bodies.
vision_tunstallLater this year, BCC will say ‘hello’ to Tunstall. We will be intentionally introducing ourselves to the people of Tunstall. Our intention in saying something, is also to create something; to make something happen; something visible and tangible. Perhaps another building or even a congregation. One thing is for sure, there are people in Tunstall who are desperately in need of a saviour and it is our responsibility to be creative and relevant in our means of communicating the message of Jesus to them.
vision_compassionIn partnership with Compassion UK , BCC seeks to love and inspire a generation of young people in Uganda by sponsoring children in the Lwantama Child Development Centre and Lwantama Evangelical Pentecostal Church. In supporting and providing resources, we can help that church bring about lasting change within its community. There are also plans in the near future to send out teams of people who will seek to love and serve the church and the community.
Here at BCC we just love the bible. As part of one body, each individual part must grow together. Mature people are not reliant upon one sermon-a-week for their spiritual nourishment and they are not dependent upon someone else for their own growth and development. Mature people understand the importance of investing in themselves by reading the bible and praying regularly. During 2009, we’re reading the bible corporately using our very own bible reading plan.
vision_bookWe've come a long way over the last eighteen months here at BCC. We're on a journey of repositioning church from a ‘certain place’ to an ‘awesome place.’ We’re writing a story for others to read; a model for others to follow. The journey has been recorded and soon to be published in our very first book documenting the BCC story so far. This will be available for all to buy later this year.
vision_albumOn Sunday 7th June, we recorded our very first live album here at BCC during one of our City Gatherings. Our very own music team worked incredibly hard to write songs and to produce a twelve track live album called 'Something More.' Each song carries the new sound and culture of Bethel City Church and is most definately set to raise up an anthem of praise across the city and nation. 'Something More' will be on sale this Autumn.
