Welcome to the year Twenty Ten: The Year of Establishment.

2010 is going to be the biggest year yet here at Bethel City Church and incredibly significant to our future. 2010 is the year that we are intentionally laying the foundations for a significant, sustainable and successful future.

This year we celebrate our second birthday as a church. However, despite being young, we are very aware that we are called to be a people of wisdom. Here at BCC, we are passionate about our King Jesus and the city of Stoke on Trent and we are committed to building a church that can be best described as progressive, expansive, explosive, provocative, audacious, cheeky, pioneering, and even dangerous. However, we are also building a church that is secure, sustainable and wise.

Proverbs 3:19 says,  “By wisdom the Lord founded the earth;by understanding he created the heavens.”

During this year Bethel City Church will be established as a Church in the city of Stoke on Trent and across this nation.

The Year of Establishment is based upon the scripture found in Isaiah 54:2 - 3:

“Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense!
For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nation and resettle the ruined cities.”
New Living Translation

"Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep. You're going to need lots of elbow room for your growing family. You're going to take over whole nations; you're going to resettle abandoned cities." The Message

"Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities." New International Version
